About the Kelsall Steam and Vintage Rally
Close to Delamere Forest, the village of Ashton (once known as Ashton Hayes) is about five miles from Chester, with welcoming pleasant walks in the area, particularly along the Sandstone Trail. A community of about 1000 people, Ashton aims to become England's first carbon-neutral community.
Over at Churches View Farm along Kelsall Road, the upcoming Kelsall Steam & Vintage Rally 2020 continues to host one of the largest displays of commercial vehicles in the country, including classic, vintage and modern trucks.
The rally is relatively well established over 75 acres, attended by exhibitors and visitors from all across the country, even over the water from Ireland. With something for everyone over the weekend, the Kelsall Steam & Vintage Rally 2020 also has arena events, lawnmower racing, vintage tractor pulling, a Punch & Judy, falconry display, a variety of trade stalls, a horticultural working area, and a vintage auction, among so many other attractions. Live entertainment will be provided by Robert’s Bakery Brass Band. The event is also hosting the annual ERF gathering organised by REVS.
Set in the heart of Cheshire, the Kelsall Steam and Vintage Rally is organised by a team of local enthusiasts. It all started in 2001 and was initially conceived to be just a one-off event. Today, it has now become one of the most significant steam and vintage rallies in the country.
Entry To The Rally
Gates to the Kelsall Steam and Vintage Rally open to the public at 9:30 on both days. Tickets are at £10 for adults and £2.50 for children. Little ones below 5 years old may enter the rally for free.
