About the Boston Steam and Vintage Festival
In the sprawling green fields east midland of Lincolnshire resides the highly praised Boston Steam and Vintage Festival! An annual celebration of steam innovations that draws the attention of many from all around the world.
Since 2005, the Boston Steam and Vintage Festival have paid tribute to some of the finest engineering ever to exist. Furthermore, beyond the steam you will find a festival of amusements from bands, to exhibitions, arts and crafts and much, much more.
At the core of the Boston Steam and Vintage Festival is a steam fair playing host to over 500 steam engines! However, as previously mentioned, this isn’t just a day about steam; it’s a day where you can have fun with your family taking part in various activities throughout the grounds.
Boston Steam & Vintage Festival
Back in 2005, locals suffered the loss of Boston Horticultural Show which was held in the Central Park. As a result, Richard F Kew. B.S.V.F. Chairman, stepped up to the plate to capitalise on the gap in the market and thus the Boston Steam and Vintage Festival was born.
Entry To The Event
Typically every year the show is put on during the end of August. With ticket prices varying from £7 for an adult and £3 for a child. If you’re travelling by car, not to worry, parking is free. However, it’s advised you arrive early as it can get tight with space due to the overwhelming demand.
Somewhere to Stay in Lincolnshire
If you’re coming from far or near and are looking for a place to stay, I’d highly recommend the White Hart Hotel which is approximately about a 13-minute drive to the Boston Steam and Vintage Festival.
Getting To Frampton Fen Lane
In addition, if you are travelling by car the best point of access is taking the A52 or A1121 and following the road straight until you get to the Hubberts Bridge right beside the R.G Farms.
Other Things To Do Around Boston
Finally, if you are looking for other things to do within the area would be to grab a bite to eat in the Boston West Hotel. Or go for a stroll around Monarch Lakes and Tackle.
What are you waiting for? It’s time to let loose and blow off some steam!
