Leighton Buzzard Railway
In the late 1960s, a group of steam locomotive enthusiasts began running passenger trains along the line and since that time has continued to keep the railway restored and operated. The Leighton Buzzard Narrow Gauge Railway Society, a purely voluntary group, continues to run and maintain this historic line and keep it open for public viewing and enjoyment. The group are always on the lookout for like-minded steam enthusiasts or anyone keen to lend a helping hand.

There are plenty of three and four-star hotels in and around Leighton Buzzard itself. The town also has its fair share of wonderful bed and breakfasts available at reasonable prices. The closest hotel to the railway is probably the Swan Hotel, which is on the high street in Leighton Buzzard and less than five minutes drive away.
Getting To Pages Park Station
Travelling to Leighton Buzzard is a doddle. If using the M1 exit at junction 11A and drive west on the A5 towards Chalk Hill. The A505 will take you to the southern edge of Leighton Buzzard where you can pick up Billington Road, which will take you north towards the railway. Look out for the brown tourist information sign which reads 'Narrow Gauge Railway'.
Other Things To Do Around Leighton Buzzard
Check out Rushmere Country Park or the Tiddenfoot Waterside Park if you want to spend a little bit of time relaxing - both are very close to the town centre. Travel north of the A5 towards Woburn and visit Woburn Safari Park, or Woburn Abbey and Gardens, both of which are great family days out. Bletchley Park, the large Victorian mansion which was home to the famous World War II code-breaking operations is also just a short drive away.
