About the Hollycombe Steam Fairground at Night
The Hollycombe Steam in the Country Heritage Museum is located on the northern outskirts of the South Downs National Park in rural Hampshire. Hollycombe boast Britain’s largest collection of working steam machinery and hold some spectacular events throughout the year. The Fairground at Night evening event is held in early autumn and attracts groups from near and far.
This evening of family entertainment allows visitors to be transported back to the fairy-tale Edwardian and Victorian eras and experience the use of steam on these playful machines.
The event is held over a few evenings during September and October. Please note that only the fairground rides are working during these events.
Hollycombe Steam In The Country
The museum is a registered charity and was first opened in the early 1970s since which has been enjoyed by scores of visitors. The museum continues to be run by passionate and devoted volunteers and is continuously on the lookout for keen volunteers who can help keep the dream alive. Entry To The Fair
The event opens at 6.00pm in the evening, and rides can be taken from 7.00pm to 10.00pm. 2019 prices are £17 for adults, £15 for seniors, £14 for children between 3 years and 15 years old. Family tickets are available for £55 (two adults plus two children). And the good news is that under-threes are free!

Getting To Iron Hill
Accessing Hollycombe Steam In The Country couldn’t be easier. Follow the A3 to Liphook and exit south onto the B2131 (London Road) through Liphook. Look out for the brown tourist information signs for 'Hollycombe Steam Collection' that will lead you to the event itself.
Other Things To Do Around Liphook
For those wishing to maintain the historical theme Haslemere Educational Museum is less than 15 minutes drive away and is well worth a visit. If you don’t mind travelling a little further afield the historic maritime city of Portsmouth can easily be accessed via the A3. The coastal towns of Worthing, Bognor Regis, Chichester, and Hayling Island are also easily accessible.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
